Kids get to be kids here – splashing at the shore, making masterpieces with found treasures, building forts, and forming friendships that might just last a lifetime. And parents? What Makes Our Summer Camp Special
🌊 Beach & Nature Adventures
Beach days with sandcastle competitions, tide pool treasure hunts, and refreshing splashes in the water. We’ll explore woodland trails, collect natural treasures, and discover the amazing ecosystem right in our Brooklyn backyard!
🎨 Creative Arts Studio
Daily opportunities for artistic expression using everything from traditional art supplies to natural materials gathered on our adventures. Kids will paint, sculpt, weave, and craft – creating keepsakes that capture summer memories.
💕 Friendship & Social Skills
Through collaborative projects, group games, and shared adventures, children naturally develop crucial social-emotional skills like communication, empathy, conflict resolution, and teamwork – all while making summer friendships.
🎭 Play & Imagination
Our days include plenty of unstructured play time where imagination rules! From fort building to nature-inspired dramatic play, children develop creativity, problem-solving skills, and the joy that comes from child-led adventures.

With specialties ranging from art to athletics to ecology, our guides create the perfect summer cocktail of fun and learning. They’re skilled at spotting when to jump in with support and when to step back and let the magic of child-led discovery unfold.
Our guides are not just staff – many are Gerritsen Beach natives and are passionate mentors who can’t wait to share their love of south Brooklyn’s natural playground.
The Perfect Summer Balance
We’ve cracked the code on the ideal summer day: active outdoor adventures balanced with creative projects, group games mixed with quiet exploration, structured activities alongside free play. It’s the antidote to summer boredom and screen time!
With our 1:6 guide-to-child ratio, we ensure every child feels seen and supported while still having the freedom to discover their own summer rhythm. Parents tell us their kids come home happily tired, full of stories, and eager to return the next day.
The Nitty-Gritty Details
- Dates: July 7 – August 22, 2025 (7 sunny weeks!)
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:30am – 3:30pm
- Ages: 4-9 years old
- Location: Elements Workspace, Gerritsen Beach, Brooklyn

- Flexible options: Choose 3, 4, or 5 days per week
Pack your kiddo with sunscreen, water bottle, lunch, swimwear, and a change of clothes – we’ll handle the rest! Each week includes a mix of beach time, creative projects, group games, and free play. Pro tip: Label everything and expect some things to come home sandy!
