Kiddos aged 6-9 learn the parts of the ukulele, how to tune their ukulele, a few key chords, and some strumming patterns through interactive games and learning activities. For their final project, learners perform the songs Rip Tide, by Vance Joy and Home by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros to a group of family and friends. They will have a chance to decorate their ukuleles for the performance and prepare for the big show! Students must have strong motor skill ability to join this class in a group setting. They should be able to write with a pen or pencil and comfortably use scissors.
