Description

This class will provide art lessons for young budding artists who want some more serious instruction in academic drawing and painting. The course includes an introduction to art history. Learners will be able to learn the basics of drawing perspective, still life, portraits and composition. At the end of the 6-week cycle, learners will have a chance to participate in an art showcase.

About the learning guide

Gerritsen Beach local artist Anastasia (Nastasia) Shygaieva was named one of the 222 Best Young Book Illustrators. She is well-known due to her original style not just in the USA but around the world. She has Masters degrees in Art and Illustration (2010) and in Early Childhood Education (2017). She is proficient in everything from classical art, portrait to cartooning, from packaging to children’s book illustrations. She currently runs her own studio at her home in Gerritsen Beach and can’t wait to share her love of art with the Elements Workspace community.
